A girl reported that her husband was able to unlock the device even when his fingerprints were not registered on the phone. After receiving some complaints, Samsung as acknowledged the issue and has assured that soon this malicious bug will be fixed.

While telling about the issue, Samsung said that: The issue can happen when “patterns of some screen protectors that come with silicone phone cases are recognized along with fingerprints.” As this bug allows anyone to access your S10 with a third-party screen protector, so the company has asked its customers to stop using the fingerprint sensor to use this service until the company releases a software patch. This is not the first time we have come across such a privacy issue at Samsung’s end. The facial recognition feature of Samsung can also be faked easily.
